We see God in children and there is no other festival other than Janmashtami which gives plenty of opportunities to involve children in the celebrations. Although it is a joyous Hindu festival, but India being a diverse country where we believe in celebrating all festivals with equal harmony, our children at National Public School Whitefield, came together to celebrate this day with their friends and teachers.
We were thrilled to see the enthusiasm and participation of our little ones and parents in making the crown craft and learn the song. They dressed up like little Krishna and Radha and we truly appreciate the efforts taken by the parents.
Celebrating any festival is incomplete till we know the beautiful reasons behind it. We decided to make our children familiar with the actual story of birth of Lord Krishna with the help of a lovely video and narration by teachers. Final outcome was as expected, our children learnt why Lord Krishna decided to take birth and how he protected people from evil king Kansa. Our children enthusiastically displayed their crown craft, flutes and ethic wear.
The happy faces of our children made the festival even happier.
