“Jhankaar”, was the Annual day, presented by the Kindergarten students of NPS Whitefield. The confident students welcomed the gathering and anchored the event.
“Dance is the most beautiful form of expression of human feelings, dancers are the messengers of Gods,” said Martha Graham
The kindergarteners performed dances from 4 states; Kolata a folk dance from our state, Koli dance from Maharashtra, Bihu dance from Assam and Bhangra from Punjab. They portrayed the diversified culture, of the state and brought out the fact that each state has its own charm and the people from each state have different ways to bring out their feelings and traditions.
The little ones looked resplendent, in their authentic colorful costumes and swayed to the tunes of the songs, in perfect coordination and it was obvious they enjoyed performing for their parents. Quite unbelievable that it was their first performance in front of a hall full of spectators. They conveyed that dancing is poetry, with arms and legs and that the body says, what words cannot!
The Grand Finale with all the students on stage, along with their teachers was spectacular, and the patriotic songs to which danced made everyone in the hall, proud to be an Indian! It was a visual treat is what parents had to say!
