Class 6A presented a special assembly on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 on account of Krishna Janmashtami. They started with the chanting of the shloka from the Bhagavath Gita. This was delivered impeccably by the suave hosts, Karan and Janahvi Deshmukh. The assembly was held in complete Hindi language.
Following the school prayer, was a profound “Thought for the Day” by Anshi Dhapola wherein she extolled a friend as someone who allows another person to be just the way they are. On that thoughtful note, the audience was taken through the news delivered well by the students namely Dhruv, Anirudh, Kabeer and Barath. Prayer was followed by the skit which brought out the poignant and soulful friendship between Krishna and Sudama.
The speech which came up next by Kavya Hansaria and Jahanvi Sharma enriched the knowledge of the audience with the details of Krishna’s divine birth. It brought to light, the time in Dwapar Yug, when unrighteousness was a way of life which left all the beings feeling wretched and hopeless. They elaborated on how the birth of Krishna, who came as a savior of the masses, heralded hope which dawned in the people’s hearts. To celebrate the birth of Krishna Avatar, the students put up a graceful Rasleela which was truly colorful and poetically choreographed and mesmerized the audience.
The day’s celebration ended with the message that “A friend in need is a friend indeed” and “sharing is caring”.
