Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great enthusiasm at NPS Whitefield by the students of class 5, 6 and 7 in the school auditorium on the bright and sunny morning of November 6, 2019. Students showcased their talent and exhibited their love for their beloved state, Karnataka by enthusiastically participating in a gala celebration. Whether it was the melodiously sung “Hacchevu Kannadada Deepa” or the informative Quiz, the children uplifted everyone’s mood. The amazing facts about Karnataka added to the knowledge of the audience. The students were able to spread the fragrance of Kannada language with their spectacular dance performance which left the audience spellbound. The ceremony ended with the Kannada Anthem. Turmeric and Kumkum (yellow and red colours that signify forgiveness and bravery respectively) tilak was applied to the staff members and red and yellow flowers were offered to them. The event generated a sense of pride in the minds of the audience, for being part of a culture that is so rich and vibrant.
