The students of Class 6 and 7 of NPS Whitefield celebrated Hindi Divas. The students started off by presenting the ‘Thought for the Day’ followed by the news in Hindi. The students of Class 7 then presented the importance of the Hindi language through a street play as in most of our homes we give more preference to English than Hindi. According to the students, Hindi should have the same place as English in our lives. This was followed by a speech by the students of Class 6, where they spoke about the importance of the language. The students engaged everyone through an interesting Kavi Sammelan where they recited humorous poems on topics like ‘mehengai’, ‘pariksha’ and ‘class monitor’. The assembly ended with a vote of thanks by the students.
