The Science Interclass Competition was conducted to test the analytical, creative skills and scientific temperament of the students. One student per section from all the Classes of 7 and 8 was selected in the Preliminary round and a Final round was conducted with the 10 shortlisted students to decide the winner of the event.
In the Prelims, the students were given a list of five commonly used kitchen ingredients using which they had to design and pen down an experiment. They were judged on the basis of content, presentation and time. In the Final round, the students were given a list of ten kitchen ingredients and in the stipulated time had to come up with a recipe mentioning the science theory/ principle behind the recipe. The students prepared the planned dish and shared the photographs of the process. Judgement was based on content, presentation, number of materials used and the sequence of photos.
