A much awaited World-wide event, that unifies the global community into a Euphoric sporting Arena. But on the 23rd of June the students of class 6 literally transported us into the stadiums of this gala event by presenting an assembly on the Olympic Day which is celebrated every year to commemorate this event.
The Assembly started off with the Olympic oath “Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.” This was followed by the students speaking on various aspects of the Olympic games- the history of the games, its importance, the ceremony involved in the lighting of the Olympic torch and the various mascots, chosen year after year. The students through the various presentations highlighted the role played by these Games in unifying the countries across the world. A separate segment was devoted to showcase the various countries that excelled in these games over the years. Students also spoke about the upcoming Olympics to be held in Tokyo. The students represented the Olympic rings by donning these colours for the Assembly presentations.
