1D Class Assembly – Christmas

“Christmas is a season for kindling the fire of hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart."

Every year on December 25th, people around the world celebrate Christmas, a happy and enchanting time of year. People gather to honour generosity, kindness, and love. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, peace, and joy. This is the time of year when friends and family gather together to make amazing memories that are full of magic, joy, and laughter!

Hanging stockings, decorating a lovely tree with glittering ornaments, and anticipating Santa Claus's arrival are common Christmas traditions.

The assembly commenced with a prayer followed by the day's thought and a quick discussion of the meanings of the various Christmas symbols came next. Students participated in the acrostic poem as well, expressing how everyone of us may relate to Christmas in our own unique way.

The kids thoroughly enjoyed dancing to the Christmas music and singing carols. The children's message was that in order to maintain the beauty and brightness of our surroundings, it is crucial that we light up the light inside ourselves.

Christmas is a season not only for rejoicing but on reflection
