Onam Celebration

Onam, the harvest festival of our neighbouring state Kerala was celebrated with pomp and splendour by our students of KG2. The students brought the festive atmosphere to NPS Whitefield with their class assembly on Onam. They brought the story of King Mahabali and Vamana to life with an engrossing skit. Students spoke of variety of traditional festivities such as Vallamkali (boat races) Pulikali (tiger dance) and the delicious Onam sadya (vegetarian feast). They danced with grace to traditional songs. The students of KG2 also made a beautiful pookalamin their drawing books to celebrate Onam. The students of Pre-Primary enjoyed learning about the significance of Onam through the class assembly.
