NURSERY – Makar Sankranti

The festival is known as Lohri in North India, Makara Sankranti in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, Magh Bihu in Assam, and Pongal in Tamil Nadu. The teachers explained the importance of this festival across the country. The students understood the significance of using jaggery in sweets or flying kites during this festival. An art activity of making a multicoloured kite, reinforced the topic and helped develop their fine motor skills
