Sports Meet - KSHITIJ

National Public School Whitefield celebrated the spirit of athleticism, perseverance, and sportsmanship in the form of KSHITIJ-2023, a three day long Sports Meet which saw students from Pre Primary to Senior Secondary actively participate in the event. It brought to the fore athletes, coaches, participants and spectators, and provided a platform for students to showcase their talent and dedication. The event demonstrated how sports inspire, unite, and foster personal growth.

The Directors of NPS Whitefield, East and Marthahalli Mr Tanuj Garg and Mr Vivek Garg graced the occasion as Chief Guests on the first two days respectively. On the final day the Chief Guest was Padmashree awardee Dr. Malathi Holla who has stellar sporting achievements in the field of sports for the disabled and has won several awards and medals.

The event started off with the melodious rendition of the Kshitij theme song which was both harmonious and inspirational. The Inter-House March Past, a highly competitive event where the four houses vied to present their best foot forward, was followed by the torch bearing ceremony. The very elegant display by the smartly attired school band was a perfect synchronization of talent and skill.

The event featured a range of track and field events, fostering camaraderie and collective effort captivating spectators with their display of speed, agility and strength. Numerous athletes stood out for their exceptional performances while pushing their limits to cross the finish line in record time.

Students showcased various drills in perfect unison and complete co-ordination which left the audience spellbound. The vibrant costumes and colourful props added liveliness and exuberance to performances and the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement. Students displayed Yoga and Tae-Kwan-do and mesmerized the audience with their energetic performance.

The most fascinating part of the event was a fitting finale which was a sheer extravaganza of colours and vibrance. The Principal Ms. Alka Gupta commended and lauded the dedication, devotion and perseverance of the students on the field. The Chief Guest exhorted the students to keep NPSW flag flying high.

The Sports Meet was a resounding success, igniting passion and inspiring young athletes to pursue their sporting dreams. It showcased the incredible talent, discipline, and sportsmanship of the participants. Kshitij 2023 was a cherished occasion that celebrated excellence the indomitable human spirit to continue to strive to go beyond horizons.
