Hindi Diwas is celebrated in India every year on 14th of September. It is a symbol of our national identity and unity. Hindi Diwas aims to promote and propagate the importance of our official language while serving as a patriotic reminder of India's shared roots and unity amongst its diverse population.
It was celebrated with great enthusiasm at NPS Whitefield, as the function began with lighting of the lamp, followed by a solemn recital of Saraswati Vandana by the students to evoke the blessings of the divine goddess.
Various cultural programmes like dance, skit, song and poem recital, exhorting the relevance of Hindi as our official language were presented. The highlight of the programme was the unique puppet show performed by students of Grade 4. The Principal addressed the students, highlighting how Hindi, like always, finds itself woven into the very fabric of the country and proves to be an integral part of its culture.
All teachers and the students enjoyed the Hindi Diwas celebrations.
