‘Science is a field that continues to be one of the greatest collective endeavors in human history.’
Keeping the above thought in mind, National Public School, Whitefield joyously threw open its doors to eminent guests, parents and well wishers on the 1st and 3rd of December for a vibrant extravaganza which was very aptly christened URJA. Grades 2 to 10 were proactively involved in showcasing the myriad contributions of science in every aspect of life on Earth. The school was transformed into a veritable exhibition with every nook and cranny beckoning guests with colourful banners, posters and exhibits. Apart from the exhibits, students of each department presented various performances, theme-based dances, musical presentations, enactments, and even shadow and puppet shows that had been creatively planned to enhance the experience of the guests.
The hard work, talent, innovativeness and exuberance displayed by the students was impressive and their efforts garnered effusive praises from all who witnessed the events. The entire process of planning for and presenting the event was a tremendous learning experience for every student and the following message has been forever engraved in their minds
“Science is a way of life. It is a perspective. Science is the process that takes us from confusion to understanding in a manner that’s precise, predictive, and reliable – a transformation, for those lucky enough to experience it, that is empowering and emotional.” – Brian Greene
