Music has never been more accessible than in today's world. With just a tap on our smartphones, we can tune in to our favorite songs by choosing the genres and artists we love listening to. And, that's why World Music Day holds utmost significance to the present generation. World Music Day is celebrated on June 21. The day cherishes the spirit of music, the vibrancy of vocals and the melody of instruments.
At NPS Whitefield the day was celebrated to motivate budding, young, and student ‘musicians’ to perform and support their love of music. Students performed the ‘Festive Divine’ to the harmonic rhythms of the Keyboard, followed by a scintillating performance by the Music Department teachers of “Dil ki Dhun”. It was a musical start to a bright sunny day, and a reminder to us all, that music is what binds us, and gives wings to the heart and transports us to a World of Joy.
