‘Childhood is the most beautiful of all life’s seasons.’
Children’s Day is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated days on every child’s calendar and this year’s Children’s Day at National Public School was no less eagerly waited for.
The day began on a bright and cheerful note with the morning assembly being conducted by the teachers. The students were reminded of the reason why our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday was celebrated as Children’s Day across the nation and of his vision for the future of India. The excitement felt by the students was palpable as they looked forward to the day’s events. They were welcomed into cheerfully decorated classrooms and wished by their teachers. The class teacher of each class engaged the students with some interactive games and distributed chocolates and badges as a token gesture. Later each section, Pre-Primary, Junior and Senior witnessed the cultural program presented by the teachers.
The cultural event was a plethora of dances, songs, humorous skits and even a vibrant fashion show that had the students in raptures. The teachers were as enthusiastic and excited as the students as they strove to make the day memorable for the students. The hall resounded with the cheers and applause of the students as they encouraged the performers.
Each event drew to a close with our Principal, Ms. Alka Gupta addressing the students. She spoke of the special place each student held in her heart and how she wished a wonderful future for them. She also thanked the teachers on behalf of the students and as always, her insightful words inspired students and teachers alike
