Elocution lessons help a child improve their communication skills and ultimately become more persuasive when they speak. They can help increase a child's confidence and ensure that they become more assertive and they are more likely to feel that they can join or even steer conversations. To inculcate this quality, Elocution competition was held for classes 1 and 2 students on 6 and 7 September 2021. The students performed spectacularly narrating their favourite book / festival / sport using creative props, voice modulation and impressive expressions. The confidence and clarity in their speech enthralled everyone. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
The final round of the competition was conducted on 13 September 2021. The topic given to the students was ‘My Role Model’.
Role Models are mentors who play a great role in shaping young minds. The students of classes 1and 2 spoke eloquently about their own role models. They expressed articulately about how these role models have influenced and inspired them in becoming better versions of themselves. Some of the examples of their role models were their parents, grandparents, important leaders, doctors, scientists, mathematicians, sports personalities etc. It was endearing to see their understanding of the topic.
