Students of Pre-Primary were beaming with excitement and donned their beautiful ethnic attire to celebrate the festival of Makar Sankranti. It is a festival which is celebrated across the nation by different names. Our KG2 children got to know the various names like Lohri, Magh Bihu, Sankranti, Pongal and Maghara Vilaku and they exchanged greetings. They learnt why it is also known as the ‘Harvest Festival’. Children enjoyed making a beautiful drawing depicting the festivities of Makar Sankranti across our country. KG1 children celebrated this festival with great enthusiasm. Teachers explained the importance of the festival and guided them to make colourful kites. Nursery children demonstrated well-developed motor skills and surging confidence as they tried to make the picture of a kite vibrant using color papers and crayons.
