Every costume that a child wears for a dress-up activity has a story to tell. Dress-up encourages creative thinking, social skills and communication skills. They think outside of the box around a theme, practice various emotions and improvise their language skills to communicate.
Our children of KG2 indulged in a dress-up activity donning costumes related to their favourite season. They shared their thoughts on why they chose the costume and what made the season so special for them. It was surely a visual treat to watch them in such colourful costumes and we as teachers were glad to hear them speak about seasons in detail.
