Madhubani art is a very old folk art style practiced in Mithila, Bihar. The introduction of folk art into our classrooms can effectively promote the connection between art and life. Adding traditional cultural elements to our KG2 art lessons can help children develop the feeling of loving Indian culture from childhood, help children develop aesthetic taste and ability, and stimulate their potential wisdom.
The central theme for our children’s Madhubani artwork was a fish, which was decorated with beautiful patterns. Children did a marvelous job indulging into this folk art and colouring it using bright colours.
