Tearing paper is an interesting fine motor activity for children. It requires less material to create a beautiful piece of art. It helps children to develop many essential skills like hand strength, eye-hand coordination, precision in their finger movement.
Paper tearing activity was integrated into the recap of letters ‘Ss’ and ‘Aa’. Children used small paper pieces to paste it on the templates of capital letters ‘S’ and ‘A’, which in turn helped them to identify the letters. The activity also included colouring of small letters ‘s’ and ‘a’. This activity was art integrated in language, which students thoroughly enjoyed.
