KG1 - Art & Craft-Bird Headgear

Children of KG1 were introduced to the EVS topic of ‘Birds’ and they reinforced their learning with a craft activity of making a ‘Headgear’. Students followed teachers’ instructions to cut the leaves, and the shapes given in a template, using child friendly scissors under parent’s supervision. They pasted them appropriately to make a beautiful bird on the strip of paper for headgear. The activity kept children totally engrossed. It was a delight to see the little ones wearing the ‘Bird headgear’ that they had made as they exhibited it with pride to their peers and teachers. The activity helped them to enhance their fine motor skills, colouring skills, concentration and imagination.
