“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instil love for learning”.
The assembly began with a soulful rendering of the school prayer. The compering was done enthusiastically by the students followed by an introduction to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, second President of India. Students spoke few lines about Dr. Radhakrishnan’s life who was a great academic philosopher, one of the most well known diplomats, scholar and above all a teacher and why his Birthday is celebrated as Teacher’s Day. Students also shared their views on the importance of Teacher’s Day and showed their love and respect by distributing beautifully handcrafted, bookmarks to all the teachers.
This was followed by a song titled “You have Made a Difference”, highlighting the contribution of teachers, the lyrics of which was soul stirring, sung energetically by the students, leaving the audience in awe.
The assembly concluded with a quiz put up by the students, which was based on Teacher’s Day and involved the participation of the teachers. All in all, it was an eventful day which was enjoyed equally by teachers and students.
