19th February 2020, was the turn of grade 2D to put up their assembly in the school auditorium. The theme was the burning topic - “Save Earth, Save Yourself”.
At the outset the audience was given a small talk as to why the Earth day is celebrated on 22 April every year since 1970. They emphasized that it was to save the earth and to encourage people to live in a healthy environment, it was imperative to save the planet, they said. The second graders; the speech makers, the news readers and quiz masters, had not a piece of paper in their hands, with a mike in hand they stepped on the stage and delivered their piece with utmost confidence!
The song rendered with fervor, passion and enthusiasm, was delightful to listen to. The lyrics were all about little things we could do in order to take care of our earth, conserve and leave behind natural resources for the future generations. Students, gave small tips about how each one of us needs to “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The quiz questions were carefully chosen about the topic. A splendid dance performance by the class brought the assembly to a close.
