“Happiness is not about getting what you want. It is about enjoying all you have and all you learn” was the theme of the assembly presented by Class 1E in the school auditorium on 20th February, 2020.
The young emcees of the morning, explained that being happy was very simple and could be achieved with just with little things like; spending time with one’s friends, having simple fun playing a game, being grateful for what we have, or enjoying time with family.
“People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be.” by Abraham Lincoln and “If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people and things.” by Albert Einstein were the thoughts given for the day, and they reiterated that happiness is just a state of one’s mind.
What was striking about the assembly was that, the students didn’t need a script nor any prompting, to deliver a speech, give the news or even the thought. They were a confident lot!
The medley with the lyrics ‘Sare ke sare’, ‘Bihu re’ and ‘Paniporiyo’ was rendered melodiously with the accompaniment of the simple tambourine. The beat was indeed very catchy.
The assembly concluded with a mesmerizing and lively dance performance on the song, “I like to move it.” The energy, enthusiasm and joy with which children presented the assembly was there to see.
